By bringing your own free API key, you bypass our server costs entirely. Groq's current free tier limits are extremely generous but distinct:
The honest limitation: If you attempt to highlight and format an entire heavy 5,000-word essay in a single click, or if you spam the format button purely to test the limits dozens of times within a 60-second window, Groq will temporarily rate-limit you for a minute. For normal, everyday co-piloting, it behaves as an unlimited premium tool.
It works on almost any site with standard text inputs — Gmail, Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, Notion, Google Docs, and more. A very small number of sites with strict security policies may block extensions.
